OTAGO LAND BOARD.

The regular meeting of the Otago Land Board was held yesterday, and was attended by Messrs R. S. Galbraith (chairman), J. Smith, G. Livingstone, T. A. Munro, and C. J. Inder. R. T Sadd, on behalf of a client, applied under section. 130 of the Land Act for a license for a term of five years over one aero of Crown land fronting the Main South road near the Oaversham Railway Station and adjoining the Police Station and residence at Caversham. —Held over to enable inquiries to be mode. James Henry Trueedale applied for a renewable lease over sections 42, block 111, and 78, block VII, Lauder district. — Granted at a capital value of £935. John Taylor applied for a renewable lease over section 37, block IX, Tanas district, containing 28 acres 3 roods 30 poles.—Grunted at a capital value of £3O. G. Mathoson applied for a lease over section 3, block XII. Tuapeka East survey district, [mining reserve), area 175 acres 39 poles.—Yearly license granted at £2 10a per annum. The Ranger supplied a repert and valuation of improvements on section 36a. Conical Hills Settlement, lately held by James Breen. —Land to be reopened at a capital value of £870; burdened with £9OO 9s for improvements. The Clutha County Council asked that the license held by D. W. Morgan over section 11, block TV, Tautuku, be terminated, as the section is now required for quarry purposes. —Licence to be cancelled us from March 17. 1926. In connection with deficiency in improvements on section 21a, Clifton Settlement lessee W. P. Dolan, it was deckled that no action bo taken. Application for a renewal of lease of section 1, block XIV, Sutton, area 1879 acres 1 rood 24 poles; lessee, G. W. Sharp; lease expires February 28. 1P25. —Lessee granted renewal at annual rental of £6O. Application was made to transfer Run 225 J, Blackstone. 1604 acres, from James M’Knight, jun., to Frederick G. M’Knight. —Held over. Application was made to transfer section 38a, Windsor Park Settlement, 95 acres, from John Atkinson to George R. Fiddes. —Approved on certain conditions. Registration of the following transfers was approved:—Run 555, Benmore (3196 acres), Wm. Warwick, sen., to E. A. Munro. Run 121 L, Waikouaiti (420 acres), George Ross to Alexander Nimino. Run 261 V, Maniototo and Vincent (1856 acres), Louisa W. Greer to S. O. Greer. The following transfers were approved : Section 1, block XIV, Sutton (1879 aoree 1 rood 24 poles), Graham W. Sharp to John Cameron. Plantation reserve, block XIV, Lower Wanaka (116 acres 30 poles), Lucy C. Sargood to Robert N. Wiley and John Wiley. Section 13a, Elderslie Settlement (822 acres), Walter C. Don to Robt. Murray Williamson. Section 46, block XV, Maungatua (18 acres 1 rood 12 poles), R. D. Wilson and F. B. Wilson to Elizabeth J. Reid, Section 2, block V, Rankleburn (61 acres 22 pole*), adjacent section, 461, block VI, Ranklebum (3150 acres), section 1, block V, Ranklebum (278 acres 3 roods 3 poles), section 1, block VI, Ranklebum, section 44, block VI (241 acres 3 roods 10 polos), Daniel Ireland to Walter S. Pitt and Harry H. Pitt. Run 903, Ranklohurn (8550 acres), David Ireland to Walter S. Pitt and Harry H. Pitt. Section 19, block VHI. Catlins (16 acres 1 rood 27 poles), William F. Cork to M. H. Allan. Section 6. block XLVII. Clutha (48 acres 3 roods 29 poles), Robt. T. Huoklebridgo to Hugh Callender. Vincent County Council submitted proposals for expenditure of “ thirds,” etc., for the period ended January 31, 1934, amounting to £244 4s sd. Taieri County Council submitted proposals for the expenditure of “thirds” for the period ended April 50, 1924, amounting to £26 13s lid. The Tuapeka County Council submitted proposals for the expenditure of “ thirds ” accrued for the period ended April 30. 1924, amounting to £75 8s 9d.—— Clutha County Council submitted proposals for expenditure of “ thirds,” etc., for period ended April 30, 1924, amounting tq_ £59 3s fad. —Approved; receiver to pay thirds. The Tevict Electric Power Board applied for a permanent lease over an area of about 40 acres in blocks I, 111, and VII, Teviot district.—Tear to year license under section 130 of the Act. granted at an annual rental of 15s; subject to conditions, suggested by the Public Works Department. This concluded the sitting of the beard.
