ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
FOUND DROWNED IN HARBOUR. (Pee United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 21. The body of an unknown man was found in the harbour. The police are investigating the disappearance of a Frenchman named Tuokett, carpenter on the steamer Canadian Spinner. He has not been seen since the arrival of the ship from Halifax last Tuesday. In some respects the description of the missing man tallies with that of deceased. MOTOR RUNS INTO BANK. GIRL nJLLED. (Pee United Press Association.) TIMARU, April 21. A fatal motor accident occurred on the Tycho Flat road yesterday afternoon, the overturning of a oar resulting in the death of Miss May Black, aged 17. the daughter of a Salisbury farmer. The car was driven by her father, and the cause of the mishap was tbe breaking of the steering gear. The car swerved and ran up an embankment. Black was pinned beneath the car on one side, and the daughter was killed instantaneously. Mr Black suffered a broken arm and collarbone, some broken ribs, and also internal injuries.
