FIRE IN POST OFFICE.

NOTHING SAVED BUT THE SAFE. (Peb United Press Association.) WANGANUI, April 14. At midnight on Saturday the Kokatahi Post Office and store were destroyed by lire, nothing being saved except a safe, which contained postal documents. Tho storekeeper (Mr James Mathews) left the building about 10 p.m., when there was no sign of lire. The building, an old wooden structure, which \yas owned by Mr R. Baddcley, was reduced to debris. A temporary post office was opened at Kokatahi to-day.
