(Received April 14, at 0.15 a.m.) The Labour Party gained control of the mayoral positions of Brisbane and South Brisbane as well as some of the suburbs at the municipal elections, tor the Brisbane City Council 11 Labour aldermen and two members of the anti-Socialist party were elected, and in South Brisbane Labour secured eight representatives and its opponents four.
