HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE.
HUMPHREY BISHOP COMPANY. A feature of the entertainment to be offered at His Majesty’s»Thcatps on Saturday next is said to be the orchestra* The drummer, Mr Billy Tointon, after intermission each night, plays a solo. Of equal importance is Frank Egan, solo violinist and deputy-conductor, whose work nightly also commands admiration. Amongst many attractive items is a pretty number by Louise Meadows and the ladies of the company, entitled “Red Rose.” This is a song scena written by Mr George lloss, producer for the company. Mr Ross is also said to Ire a very clever comedian and dancer as well as author. Miss Meadows also is hoard in other delightful concerted numbers with Mr Maurice Jaffoy and the ladies. Mr Jaffoy is described as a tenor of rare quality and bis ducts with Mr Walter Kingsley (baritone) are said to be immensely popular. It is stated that to listen to tbo original ragtime quartet’s idea of “Yes, Wo Have No Bananas,’’ is to form a new conception altogether of the popular absurdity. Stage settings are in keeping with the o-enora.l standard of the show. The box iw opened at the Bristol on Wedneaday morning. Day sales are at the Geyser.
