LATEST POLICE ALLY. LONDON, March .2. Birmingham police arc using a specially manufactured giant magnet, weighing 601 b. to explore the bed of the canal, hoping to obtain the weapon by which Martha Reeves, a domestic servant, met her death. Reeves was found on the towing path beside the canal with a wound in her throat. So far the magnet has drawn up nails, old iron, ar.l a rusted table knife.
