LAW FACULTY STUDENTS.

ANNUAL MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. The annual general meeting of the Otago University Law Faculty Students’ Association was held in the lecture room. Supreme Court buildings, on Monday evening. Mr C. B. Barrowclough, 8.A., wae in the chair, and there was a good attendance. The balance sheet was presented, and the annual report dealing with various faculty activities and disclosing a successful season was read and adopted. The annual social functions—the ball and the dinner—were much enjoyed, while in the athletic field distinction was achieved by Miss Hei and Messrs J. A. C. Mackenzie, F. J. D. Rolfo, J. D. Paterson, and T. C. Drumm. The office-bearers for the ensuing year are President. Mr W. D. Taylor; hon. secretary. Mr W. R. S. Owen; hon. treasurer, Mr W. S. Robertson; committee— Messrs C. B. Barrowclough (debating), T. C. Drurnm tathletics), T. A. Kinmont (social), and R. S. M. Sinclair trapping); delegates to the Otago University Students’ Council Messrs W. D. Taylor (ex officio), C B. Barrowclough, and G. T. Baylee. The discussion of a few matters of interest to law faculty students terminated the meeting. LAW DEBATING SOCIETY. Ihe annual meeting of the Law Debating Society immediately followed that of the Faculty Association. The chair was occu pied by Mr G. T. Baylee. The election of office-bearers resulted as fallows: Patron, Mr Justice Sim; president, Mr C. B. Barrowclough, 8.A.; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr W. M. Taylor; committee—Messrs J. N. Smith, A. J. Dowling, and G. T. Baylee. Unanimous approval was accorded the proposals to hold a “Question Night” and a mock trial during the coming year. The Chairman stressed the benefit to bo derived by students from participation in debates, and his remarks were endorsed by other speakers. Judging from the enthusiasm displayed, a successful season may be looked forward to. A very hearty vote of thanks to those members of the profession who during the past vear so willingly gave up their time in delivering lecture? and judging debates terminated the meeting.
