TWO-STOREY DWELLING DESTROYED. (Pee United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, February 28. Dt W. Lichfield’s new two-storey residence at Wades town, which was waiting occupation, was destroyed by fire this morning. The loss is estimated at nearly £3OOO. No reason is known for the outbreak. This is the third newly-built house to suffer by fire recently in the same district. A LOCAL CALL. The City Fire Brigade received a call at 8.30 a.m. yesterday to Messrs Kempthorne, Prosser, and Co.’s factory in Stafford street. The alarm was registered through interference with a thermostat.
