KNIGHTS OF FLAMING SWORD.

NEW FRATERNAL ORDER. KLAN DEPAETS FROM FUNDAMENTALS. Psrara Asiociation—By Teleentpb—Copyrigut WASHINGTON, February 27. The formation of a new world-wide fr*-' ternal order was the result of the Klans- . men's Congress at Atlanta, Georgia, called by the former Acting Imperial Wizaid Clark, of the Ku Khix Klan. The proposers of the new order adopted a resolution declaring that the latter organisation had grown away from the principles upon wlvch it was focnded, and a substitute was necessary.—Sydney Sun Cable, A recent message from Atlanta, in Georgia, stated: An interesting development in connection with the ivo Klnx Klan was disclosed in a contractual bargain as the result of which Colonel William Simmons, the founder of the Klan, *u consideration of 140,000 dollars cash, resigned the office of Emperor and disposed f of all his interests in the organisation. This assured the devolution of the sorailed emperorship upon Dr Hiram Evans, whose faction Colonel Simmons promises to dismiss all pending litigation. In the meanwhile the Klan otdcials claim that they are reliably informed that Colonel Simmons, despite his promised retirement, has in Florida placed himself at the head of a new organisation called the "Knights of the Flaming Sword." It is expected that the Knights and the Kkn may later dispute supremacy in the leadership of the American Faa- • cismo.
