He plans to take supplies byreindeer transport this summer if a lease is iibt&med. and to secure Eskimo workmen.—Sydney Sun Cable. THE QUEENSLAND FIND. ENCOURAGING TESTS. BRISBANE, February 28. The Government Geologist's report, on the recent oil discovery at the Oralla boro was that the tests made were distinctly encouraging. About a month ago the Lander Oil Company reported striking oil at a depth of 2200 ft at Oralla., 30 miles from Roma. Oil and gas were coming to the surface in such quantities as to make further borimr dangerous until the bore had been properly cased. The Minister of Mines regards' the find as important. He said it was the most promising evidence of the discovery of oil in possibly payable quantities yet reported in Australia.
