N.Z. AND SOUTH SEAS EXHIBITION.
GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT EXHIBITS. The directors of the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition Company are making strong representations to the uovernment with, the object of having various departments represented by exhibits in connection with which there will be held in the near future a conference in Wellington between some of the and tlio permanent heads of Government departments to discuss details. At all recent exhibitions in New Zealand, including that held in Dunedin in 1889-90, various departments were represented to a greater or less degree, and when mention is made of agriculture, railways, defence, post and telegraph, mines, ana public works it will be seen that exhibits from these great departments of State would be of great interest to the majority of the Exhibition visitiors, apart from their educational value. Those who visited the Christchurch Ex--5 hibitiou in ISO 6-7 will no doubt recall the I excellent display made by many of these I departments, and it may reasonably be I agreed that the time is now ripe for I another such exhibit, to demonstrate the natural resources of dur dominion and to illustrate the activities of the Government departments concerned.
