The quai'terly gathering in connection with the Otago Congregational Sunday School Union was held on Monday evening, delegates from Moray Place, United, Port, Ravensbourne, and Gore Schools being entertained by the ladies of the United Congregational Sunday School. Mr J. Arthur Wilkinson (president) occupied tho chair. After devotional exercises a resolution of condolence with the widow of the late Mr R. Jack, who had been a valued worker in the Port Chalmers School and Church, was carried. ;t was decide to hold the annual ('xainmet ios on tho lessons set down for the period Aprd 27 to June 1, inclusive. It was further re solved that the conditions w'hich tho challenge shield in connection with the examination was awarded should be amended, the total marks secured by each school ( being divided by the number of its pupils eligible to-sit for examination, \and the school with tile resultant highest average being awarded the shield, lit was decided to appoint Mr and Mrs J. Arthur Wilkinson the union’s delegates to the great World Sunday School Convention to be held in Glasgow, memcers wishing them a prosperous and pleasure ole trip to the Homeland, The invitation rom the Ravensbourne School to hold the next gathering at Ravensbourne was accepted with thanks. , The following are the resu-ts of the competitions at the Wakuri School picnic. 11 o }s Race, Standards YI and V; Reg Barnard 1.
