LONG TACK SAM.

Bringing with them the alluring atmosphere of the Orient Long Tack Sam and his accomplished company, who have played their way into the hearts of Dunedin audiences, were again, greeted with a crowded house last evening. Astounding acrobatic feats have been presented by many artists, but the men in this company rank among the finest exponents of the art in the world. There is a finish about their work which leaves the spectator open-mouthed, while the daring with which they undertake seemingly impossible “stunts” causes many a Ihriil. The horizontal bar work was marvellous, but in the strap work they excelled, tlie audience being anything but loth to show their appreciation. Long Tack Sam proved himself an artist of a high order, his conjuring tricks being performed with a deftness which kept the audience in a state of bewilderment. Long Tajk Sam not only presents many tricks which have never been seen in Dunedin before, but ho intersperses his work with witticisms which class him as a humourist of no mean ability. He was especially good in his impersonation* of an English dandy, the affectations displayed by these individuals being remarkably clover. Two Chinese girls delighted with their quaint presentation of a Highland fling, the subtle charm of the Oriental being infused into this favourite Scottish dance in a delightful manner. The second portion of the programme is one of excellence and variety. Musical items are giveil by David Burt (violinist) and Carlton Pay (pianist). A comedienne who creates hearty laughter and has become a firm favourite is Miss Audrey Knight, while performing pigeons and other features complete a delightful programme. The entertainment will be repeated to-night. In response to numerous requests the management announces that it has been decided to extend the season till next Thursday night. A change of programme will be made on Monday night, when a number of new features will be introduced.
