(Received Feb. 21, at 9.50 p.m.) Tho special meeting of the Colonial Sugar Refining Company agreed to a nominal increase of ihe capital from £4,000.000 to £7,000,000. The question of the issue of the new shares will be considered at a meeting to be held at the end of March. An. earlier message Gated: A special meeting if Tie Colonial Sugar Refining Company will be held on February 21 to consider a proposal by the directors to inciease the capital from £4,000,000- to £7,000,000 by the creation of 150,000 new £2 shares. The question of the issue of these shares will be considered at a meeting to be held towards the end of March, when an explanation will be made of the position of the company in connection with the transfer of assets of the Fiji Company. The- chairman previously explained that the issue of new ihares in this way v-ould not increase the value of the interest of each proprietor in the business.
