PROFESSIONAL SPORTS MEETING. At the Caledonian Grounds to-morrow afternoon the Otago Athletic and Cycling Club will hold its big nrofessional meeting. Included in the competitors are P. O’Shea and W. P. Trembsth. The former is the present Australasian champion rider, and he has also held the fateat time for tho TimaruChristchuxch road race for many years. Trembath is one of the beet runners tho dominion has over had, and at one time he was Australasian champion. The local sprinter Harris has a big reputation, and he has held the 100 yards Otago amateur championship. Tho competitors in the cycling division also include Mackie and Henderson, of Christchurch, who have both proved themselves to be riders of first-class ability Included in the programme are two wrestling matches, which should prove to be very attractive exhibitions, ‘as several well-known wrestlers have signified their intention of competing. The juvenile dancing and piping events have drawn large entries, and those interested in these two events will find tho displays both, attractive and interesting. £_ BOXING. VQBAIEE DEFEATS DUPRE.
