DIFFICULTIES ENCOUNTERED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, January 10. An indication that difficulties have arisen in the selection of the Association team for Australia and New Zealand is convoyed in a circular by the International Selection Committee to all clubs wh.ch are in direct membership with the Football Association, stating that it is most desirous of sending a favourable response to the invitation for a team to tour Australia and New Zealand; indeed, it feels that loyalty compels it to make every effort to meet the wishes of the colonies. The difficulty so far has been the inability of the players to be absent from England for six months. The team must be of such strength that it will bo able to uphold the host traditions of the Mother Country. The committee states that it will be glad if the clubs will again consider the possibility of one or more of their players being able to undertake the tour.
