LABOUR ORGANISATIONS.

INFORMATION AND RESEARCH BUREAU. CONFERENCE IN WELLINGTON. (Pkb United Association.) WELLINGTON, January 10. Hie latest move by the Labour organisations in New Zealand is towards the establishment of an information and research bureau. Hie question was considered to-day by a conference called by the Alliance of Labour. Certain proposals were submitted to the conference by a committee consisting of members of the Alliance and the New Zealand Labour Party, and after the conference had given consideration to the points raised the following motions were carried: “That the New Zealand Alliance of Labour co-operate with the New Zealand Labour Party for the purpose of establishing an information and research bureau.” “That there be an information and research bureau to bo jointly owned and controlled by the New Zealand Alliance of Labour and the New Zealand Labour Party.” “That representation on the committee of the bureau should be on an equal basis—that is, five from each organisation.” Further points in connection with the bureau are being considered by the conference this afternoon.
