A balance of 4,500,000d0l lying to the credit of the American Red Cross funds has been handed to the Japanese Emergency Relief Bureau by the American Charge d’Affairs, and one-third is to be applied to direct social service, onethird to hospital construction, and the balance to an endowment for hospitals.— Reuter.
