The Minister of Finance last year submitted a scheme to the Cabinet aiming at coimtering the fall in the franc. The proposals comprise mostly more rigorous police regulations to suppress the campaign in favour of the sale of Government securities: secondly, a revised system of quotation on the Bourse; thirdly, the weeding out of undesirable and heterogeneous frequenters of the Stock Exchange market; fourthly, stricter supervision of hankers’ exchange operations; fifthly, endeavours to check the practice of certain exporters in leaving foreign money abroad. —Reuter.
