MacKinnon, Trade Commissioner for Australia, has received notice from he ■Rritish Foreign Office through the Embassy here that the French government haT designated him a chevalier of the Legion of Honour in recognition of his vaf services. The decoration, which has already arrived with the King s warrant permitting Mr MacKinnon’s acceptance, £Tpro&bly be formally conferred by the French Embassy.
