DEPARTURE OF JUNE. HOW DID PRESS KNOW IT? A meeting of the Otago Yacht and Motor Boat Association was held in the Returned Soldiers’ Association’s rooms last evening. Present: Messrs H. E. It was general knowledge in the city that June and her crow were leaving earlier for Wellington, and it was not to be wondered at that the reporters got the information. Mr Paul said he thought the association had been placed in an invidious position. The association should not be told by the newspapers what to The matter lapsed after further discussion.
The Wellington Yacht and Motor Boat Association wrote intimating that it had arranged accommodation for all visitors to the Sanders C’’p contest. The Chairman stated that about 20 yachtsmen were going north.
