A SEAMAN'S DEATH. (Pee United Pbess Association.) GISBORNE, December 19. Axel Petersen, a seaman, whose spina was’injured during wbol loading j operations at Waipiro Bay, died on Monday. James Williams, 20 years of age, who resides at 62a South road, Caversham, was admitted to the Hospital yesterday suffering from injuries to his chest and arm, caused through the breaking of a sling used for lifting Burning pipes at the Dunedin Engineering Works. Williams was struck by & falling pip©. DROWNING FATALITY FEARED. (Pee United Pbess Association.) NEW 1 PLYMOUTH. December 19. It is* feared that a drowning fatality occurred at Kotare (Mokau district) to-day. 4 farm lad named Reginald O Donnell, l 6 years, rode into a flooded river, and is believed to have been washed off his horse. The body has not yet been found.
