BRUCE DEFENCE CLUB. On Saturday afternoon the Bruce Defence Rifle Club fired the final ot a two days’ competition lor trophies presented by Mr Alex. Stewart (Law Courts Hotel, Dunedin) 'there was not a largo atendance of members, and the shooting generally was much below the usual staiidaro. Rifleman M E Paul topped tne score with bo points ' getting 33 at 600 yards, easily "'inning the competition with an aggregate score of 126. Rifleman J. 1. Halba. who has been shooting very consistently during the season, secured second (11/), and lliflomau A. W. Paul third (116) Conditions; Competition to occupy two Saturdays; both days’ scores to count; seven shots (sighted optional) at 500 and 500 yards. Handicap limit 66. First, second, and third prizes.
