The Athens correspondent of The Times lays:—“Rumours are current that the anti-Venizelists are preparing for trouble on Sunday, when the general elections are to be held. The Government announces that it is taking elaborate precautions to frustrate attempts to disi public order or to interfere with the polling. The commander of the Athens garrison has prohibited concentration, under a threat of summary punishment. The cafes and places of amusement will he closed on Sunday, vehicular traffic forbidden, and church services will not be allowed, as the polling will proceed in the churches and schools.” —The Times.
