The Mountain of Pizzokel, which dominates Coire. has begun to move, and threatens to overwhelm the southern portion of the town. Villages in the vicinity are also menaced. Landslides have occurred at several points, and large crevasses have appeared. It is believed that the movement is due to the source of Lake Brambusch changing its position.—A. and N.Z. Cable. Coire, or Chue, is a cathedral town of some 12,000 inhabitants, and is the capital of the canton of Grisons. It is situated on the Upper Rhine.
