ADOPTION OF PARACHUTE. A USEFUL SAFEGUARD. Pnass Association—By Telegraph—Copyright PARIS, December 16. A conference between aerial syndicates decided that all passenger-carrying aeroplanes from January 1 shall carry parachutes. Recently * Mademoiselle Collin dropped from ah aeroplane- which was travelling at 90 miles an hour, with a parachute, which unfolded normally, and enabled her to land safely. Parachutes, therefore, are regarded as a useful safeguard in the event of accident. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
