FATAL MOTOR COLLISION. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, December 14. Mr C. Hawkins and his wife in a motor car crashed into a train at Temora railway station and were killed instantly. The train was shunting at the time, and the view was obscured from Hawkins by an overhead bridge. NIGHT BAKING UNPOPULAR. SYDNEY, December 14. The Industrial Court has .granted the request by the Master Bakers that night baking be reverted to. The operatives declined to attend the court to oppose the application as they declared their opposition to night baking whether the court ordered it or not. EX-CONSTABLE SENTENCED. MELBOURNE, December 14. Ex-constable Hannah has been sentenced to three years’ imprisonment with hard labour. On November 19 a shooting affray occurred at Frankston. Senior Constable Qulhane and Constable Graham were conducting ex Constable Hannah to the lockup on a charge of drunkenness when Hannah drew a revolver and wounded both constables in the shoulder. Graham’s injury was not serious, hut Culhane was sent to hospital. Hannah escaped, hut he was re-arrested on a charge of shooting with intent to murder. DEATH OF GENERAL DANGAR.
