A REMARKABLE ILLUSION.
Patrons of the Plaza , next Friday -will be afforded an opportunity of witnessing a remarkable illusion. Some time ago Mr P. O’. Selbit. who presents the attraction, received the following-' from the Queens-' land News Co.. Ltd.:—“Dear Sir, —Herewith wo send you a package containing a bead necklace which we would be glad if you would kindly band to your artist who was ‘sawn in half’ at the Brisbane Sun Office this afternoon. As you know, this remarkable performance was carried out in tho presence of a gathering consisting of the leading professional and business men of tho city, as well as tho whole staff of our newspaper. Seeing that the whole assemblage was gathered right round the box in tho directors’ office from the beginning to the end of the performance without the aid of any stage appliances, the illustration is regarded as the most astounding one ever witnessed in tins part of the world. Let us add that we are grateful to you for permitting the function to be arranged.” Seats may be booked at tho theatre.
