(Received Dec. 10, at 8.5 p.m.) Sir James Allen, who is annoyed over the dilatoriness of the Australian Governments in offering M. Spahlinger financial assistance, intends to inaugurate a campaign to monopolise the scrum for New Zealand. He told the Sydney Sun’s correspondent that most of the official bodies adopted the attitude that M. Spahlinger must deliver the serum before payment. “M. Spahlinger,” continued Sir James Allen, ‘cannot produce the serum because he has lost all his horses, and is unable to buy others. I know that M. Spahlinger has received numerous offers to sell his formula for large sums, but he is a humanitarian aaid not a speculator. ' can get the money in London from philanthropists. Onp New Zealander has promised me £SOO. I am convening a meeting of New Zealanders in London to \pnable Dr Collins to explain the favourable results of his investigations so as to secure financial assistance to obtain the Spahlinger serum for the benefit of New Zealand. lam also urging the Mayors of New Zealand towns to appeal to the public.”—Sydney Sun (Ja.hle.
