COUNTING THE VOTES. APPOINTMENT OF SCRUTINEERS. (Pbb United Press Association.) ROTORUA, December. 7. Mr W. G. Phillips, the Te Aroha candidate for the Dairy Control Board, telegraphed to the Hon. W. Nosworthy (Minister of Agriculture): “Qm I nominate scrutineers for the ballot count? Plea.se advise date, place, and necessary procoeduro.” Mr C. J. Reakes, on behalf of Mr Nosworthy, replied: “I am instructed to advise you that it is quite open to you to appoint scrutineers at the counting of the votes, which will commence on December 13 at 2 p.m. at the office of the chief electoral officer. You should advise him whom you appoint as your scrutineers.”
