It had a- good hold In a stack of dry Oregon, and was not extinguished till £350 worth had been destroyed. Fortunately there was no wind, or the destruction of £14,0Q0 worth of adjacent timber was inevitable. The water pressure was totally inadequate to haadte the conflagration had it spread.
