' OTAGO YACHT CLUB,

A meeting of the committee of the Giago Yacht and Motor Boat Club was held last night; Mr W. R. Waters presiding. The Otago Yacht and Motor Boat Association wrote asking if the club colle^ £ls 15s to defray the expenses of the Sanders C Tho C °North-Ba6t Harbour Boating Club wrote stating that it was holding two motor boat races on December 15, and would pleased to receive entries from members or the club. —It was resolved to endeavour to obtain entries as far as possible. Ten new members were elected. It was decided to circularise the various orphanages asking how many children would bo able to attend the orphans’ picnic on January 5 next.—lt was resolved to hold the picnic at Broad Bay. Messrs W. RWaters, R. Cahill, and H. F. Nees were appointed a sub-comnnttee to make arrangements in connection with the orphanage picnic. Messrs T. Fronde and D. Paterson were appointed to supervise the embarking and disembarking at Dunodin, and Mr J. T. Paul at Broad Bay. It was decided that the cruising races to Broad ■ Bay arranged for January 19, bs cancelled, the committee to arrange a date for .these races at ths next meeting.
