SUMMER SHOW. The following is the list of special prizes awarded at the show: — The Dunedin Jockey Club special donation of £SO towards the N.Z. Steeplechase Championship. Grand Hotel Cup, valued at 25 guineas, to be won twice in succession or three limes at intervals before becoming the property of the winner Miss D. Mowat (Kaikorai). The cup now becomes her property. The New Zealand Sheep Breeders Association (South Island) offer four shields for competition as follows: —Best Border Deicoster ram over 18 months and under 3v months—T. S. Little (Windsor). Best Border Leicester ewe under 18 months —i. o. Little. Best Corriedale ram over 18 months and under 50 months—L. W. Storry (Southbridge). Best Corriedale ewe under 18 months —L. W. Storry. . The New Zealand Refrigerating Company’s special challenge trophy, valued at 30 guineas, for most points in the fat lamb and sheep classes (section 10). Tie Otago District Committee of the New Zealand Friesian Breeders’ Association Waitaki challenge shield, valued at 15 guineas, for the bull whose dam has made the highest semi-official record. To be. won three times, not necessarily in succession— H. North and Sons (Omimi). The Otago District Committee of the New Zealand Friesian Breeders’ Association’s Silver Challenge Cup for the female whose dams have made the highest semi-official record. To be won three times, not necessarily in succession—H. North and Sons. Special Prize of £3 3s for most points in Jersey Cattle—Mrs F. E. Hellyer and Sons (N.E. Harbour). The Clydesdale Horse Society’s Silver Modal for the best yearling or two-year-old Colt or Filly, bred by exhibitor—Thomsons, Ltd., “Brilliantshine.” Mr A. Stewart’s Special Prize of £2 2s, for the best spring van horse up to 20cwt — N.Z. Express Company. iF'orbury Trotting Club’s Special Prize of £2 2s, for best dog-cart horse —James Walker (Outram).
