PROBLEM OF OVER-PRODUCTION. REDUCED ACREAGE RECOMMENDED Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright CHICAGO, November 14. The National Wheat Council’s Production Committee, reporting on the programme for a solution of the wheat problem, declared that growers’ profits were ieopardised by consistent over-production. It urged the farmers to reduce the total acreage from 62,000,000 to 50,000,000. It advised diversification of crops, and also recommended a regijonal conference to determine reductions in local acreages, to co-ordinate with a national programme. A. and N.Z. Cable.
