GIRL ATTEMPTS SUICIDE. RESCUED SEVERELY INJURED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyrignt SYDNEY, November 13. (Received Nov. 13, at 10.25 p.m.) Helen Bishop, aged 26, attempted to commit suicide by leaping over the Gap. She missed the rocks and struck the water after falling a distance of 200 ft. she swam to a fishing boat and was rescued. She was sent to hospital suffering from contusions and a probable fracture of the spine. This is probably thp *nly case on record where a leap over the Gap was not fatal.
