No expense lias been spared in cont-.eo tion with the presentation of th© “Dick Whittington’’ pantomime, the production of which is in the hands of the celebrated Australian producer, Mr George Edwards. The Dunedin season opens on Saturday, November 17 It is interesting to note that Mr Edwards was for some tune associated with Mr Tom Pollard. Mr Edwards is also a comedian of note, having played a leading comedy part in “The Lilac Domino” and made a great success of the rolo of Tim in “Our Miss Gibbs” production. In Mr Ted Stanley Mr Tano Faina has secured one of tho finest dames ever seen in this country, and the audiences to whom this pantomime is played may be confidently expectant of hilarious entertainment at the hands of this worthy performer. That M'ss Saidie Tiiburn, the principal boy, is all that she claims to be may be gathered from the following newspaper criticism: Vide Sydney Morning Herald: “Mis® Sadie Tiiburn is a perfect, model of a principal boy. with a splendid voice, which she uses artistically. She was a favourite from the moment she appeared and the management are to be congratulated.” The box plana will bo open to-morrow morning at the Bristol.
