MANAGERS’ REPORTS. Rising Sun, —Stoping was started at the beginning o£ the week with the underhand stone, about 100 ft south of the winze, ana good progress has been made. This portion is being worked with the rook drill, leading stope was also started 100 ft on t north of the winze. This is being woikea by hand steel. The reef in this position w ..easily worked, and no difficulty is being experienced in boring in. the quartz. 10 material obtained is being delivered at tne battery, 'in order to fill the hopper before starting up. . , .. Ohinomuri. —The crosscut into the footwall at 650 ft on the Camoola reef (south drive) is now in 30ft, and the footwall is not yet exposed. The quartz passed through during the week was favourable. New Waiotahi.—The south-east crosscut hsa been extended during the week. A leader about 3in thick was met wtih on Saturday, but the manager reports that until a few more shots are fired he is unable to say much about it. The intermediate level on footwall loader is at present split into three portions, and it has been decided to continue on the footwall branch, in which ii few colours of gold were seen. It is probable the portions will junction as the drive advances.
