(Received Nov. 9, at 8.20 p.m.) The Central News Agency's Berlin correspondent says that the Lokal Anzeiger, in a telegram from Munich, states that Dr Kahr has been appointed Governor, Herr Hitler Dictator, Marshal Ludendorff Military Dictator, General von Lossow War Minister, and Herr Koehler Chancellor. The greatest excitertient prevails. President Ebert and the Bavarian Government are dismissed irom office. Dr von Kahr accepted the Governorship in the following words: —“In this most serious hour of Bavarian history I accept the Governorship as a representative of the Monarchy.” Marshal Ludendorff said: ‘‘We have reached a turning point in the history of Germany and the. world. God bless our work.” Marshal Ludendorff, General yon lasssow, Herr Koehler, and Herr Hitler constitute a Dictatorship without a Parliament. NEW YORK, November 8. (Received Oct. 9, at 8.20 p.m.) The Berlin corespondent of the New York Times says that a Bavarian coup d’etat has been accomplished. NATIONALISTS GROW BOLDER. LONDON, November 8. The Daily Chronicle's Berlin correspondent says that all Dr Stresemann's efforts to form a coalition have failed, and in consequence the Nationalists are becoming increasingly influential and bold. Herr Hergt, the Nationalist leader, outlined his programme to Dr Stresemann. The newspaper Vorwaerts asserts that it included the revival of conscription, a declaration that the Peace 1 1 eaty is now waste paper, and a break with France. The Nationalists refuse to support any coalition with the bourgeois parties unless the Nationalists appoint their own Chancellor. —A. and N.Z. Cable. A TOUGHING APPEAL. CRY OF GERMAN WOMEN. LONDON, November 8. The Cologne correspondent of The Times sends, a moving appeal from the German women to the women of the British Empire. It is described as a cry for help in the last extremity. The appeal is signed by 69 women’s associations in the Cologne area. 'lt is also being transmitted to* the Imperial Conference. It savs: ‘‘We appeal to you. We do not know what else to do.” It describes how the Ruhr occupation has paralysed industry, ‘‘adding to our agony and despair,” and goes on to say: ‘‘An armed horde of adventurers has been let loose on our disarmed and helpless population under the guise of Separatism and Republicanism. Winter is coming; We are without coal, although we are living in the midst of one of the world’s greatest coal-producing areas. We can do nothing to help ourselves. We are faced with grim starvation, and in. despair we appeal to you to save us. It is not for ns to suggest how, but whatever is done must be done quickly, before it is too late and before the Rhineland. Germany, all Europe, and with them the British Empire are engulfed in this welter of discord and countless lives are once more sacrificed.” —The Times. SEPARATISTS AT BONN. DEPORTED BY FRENCH TROOPS. BERLIN, November 8. Advices from Bonn state that, following the example of the recent Belgian action in regard to Separatists at Aix-la-Chapelle, the French in Bonn rounded up over 2000 imported Separatists, who were disarmed and marched to the station and deported in special trains. The guards on all the roads leading to the British zone have been reinforced. Two prominent Separatists, on endeavouring to enter, were arrested. —Reuter. A WAR CRIMINAL.' CROWN PRINCE TO STAY IN HOLLAND. PARIS, November 3. The Ambassadors’ Conference has de : cided to ask the Dutch Government not to permit the ex-Crown Prince to leave Dutch territory, and the German Government not to permit him to enter Germany, on the ground that he is on the list ”of war criminals whose surrender was demanded by the Allies. —Reuter.
