WIRELESS TO STEAMERS.
PASSENGERS ’ COMPLAINTS. NO NEWS FROM NEW ZEALAND. (From Our Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, November 7. Passengers and officers of ships arriving in New Zealand continue to complain that New Zealand stations do not rend them out any New Zealand news either when they ale nearing our shores or sailing away from them. Coming from England the ships get the news both from the British and the American stations. The latest news on the voyage to New Zealand comes from California and Honolulu, and finally the ships lose these stations and get nothing. No nows from the dominion is broadcasted to ships at sea, and passengers returning to their own land cannot understand why this should bo. They think that, daily or nightly, • New Zealand should send out a brief synopsis of her own news. The ships get not only American news from the American stations, but also news of the big events happening in the other parts of the world. The state of affairs in Germany and even such events as the Melbourne riots would bo broadcasted from the American stations.
