OTAGO BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL.

ANNUAL ATHLETIC SPOUTS RECORD BROKEN. Though a strong wind prevailed yesterday afternoon the Otago Boys’ High School’s annual sports meeting was a successful function. There were very large entries for each event, nnd the programme was a lengthy one. holding a number of preliminaries at the school during the last few days, the Work of the officials was lightened, and the meeting was made more interesting from the spectators’ point of view. The tracks at Carisbrook were in fine order, and some creditable performances ivere registered. The standard set by the competitors was probably a little higher than that of last year, and the entry of as many as nine challenges for the senior cup disclosed a satisfactory state of affairs. One record was broken at the school when in the long jump (under 15) Priest beat the previous record , by 3jin. The meeting started punctually, and, what is even more to the credit of the officials, it concluded punctually. J- ' ■ The following were the official^: —President, the Rector (Mr W. J.
