LONDON WOOL MARKET. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report having received tho following cablegram from their head office, dated London, November 6: The wool sales closed active and competition was brisk; crossbred wools of all descriptions and merinos prices arc fully maintained, and good shafty 64’s are rather higher. LONDON MARKETS. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company havo received the following cablegram from their London house, under date November 2': NEW ZEALAND FROZEN MEAT. Lamb, IOJd per lb (average). Mutton: Wether and maiden ewe—Light 7RI per lb, heavy 7Jd per lb; ewe, light 6d per lb, heavy 51d per lb. Beef: Ox hinds, 4gd per lb, fores 3d per lb; cow hinds 4d per lb, fores 2Jd per lb. The market is slow. NEW ZEALAND DAIRY PRODUCE. Butter: Choicest salted, 186 s to 188 s per cwt. The market is quiet. Cheese, 106 s to 110 s per cwt. The market is steadier. Messrs A. H. Turnbull and Co. are in receipt of a cablegram from Messrs W. Woddel and Co. (Ltd.), London, quoting the following prices (last week’s prices being given in parentheses): Danish butter, 200 s to 202 s (200 s to 2025); New Zealand butter, uusalted, 201 s (20Cs to 208 s); New Zealand butter salted, 185 s to 169 s (188 s to 190 s). New Zealand cheese: White, 106 s (108 s); coloured, 108 s to 110 s (110 s to 112 s). The market is steady. Butter is very slow. PROPERTY SALE. Messrs Park, Reynolds (Ltd.) offered at auction yesterday at their rooms, part of alllotment 15, block 'VIII,. Forbury, subdivided into three allotments with cottages thereon. Lot 1, containing 10.2 poles, with toll. - -roomed cottages, No. 55 Reid road, brought £270. Lot 2, containing 10.6 poles, with cottage, No. 57 Reid road, brought £225, Lot 3, containing 1 rood 7.6 poles, with 7ft entrance from Reid road, brought £265. All the allotments were keenly competed for, Mr David Sandman eventually securing the three lots. AUCKLAND WOOL SALE. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 7. The first wool sale of the season in the Auckland district will be held on November 24 in the Town Hall Concert Chamber. Shearing in various localities has been proceeding apace for some weeks, but owing to the broken weather experienced during the spring it was feared that a comparatively small catalogue would be offered. The recent fine spell, however, has materially improved the position, and wool is now coming to hand freely from all parts of tho province. LONDON METAL MARKET.
