POINT DUTY AT HIGH STREET CORNER.
TO THE EPITOE Sib. —l would like to correct the impressions of "Chassis” regarding the policeman on duty between High and Princes streets. I may tell "Chassis” that the policeman’s influence does count, and he would know it if he were alighting from a tramcar. When tho tram stops the policeman raises’ his hand, and the traffic has to stop, with the result that the people who alight from the tram can get across in safety. This they could not do before ha was "stationed there.—l am. etc., CITTZEJf.
