MIDDLE SBOROUGH, November 2. Sailed: Wainiana, for Auckland. The Union Steam -Ship Company has received a wireless message from the Kurow that the vessel will arrive in the lower harbour to-morrow evening from Sydney. The Port Hacking left New York for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin on October 31. She is due at the northernmost port in December. Tho Kaimanawa having finished discharging her cargo of Newcastle coal on Saturday, steamed down to Port Chalmers. She will go into dock to-day for survey, and will sail during tho week for Newcastle, The Trelyon, from Montreal, which left Lyttelton on Saturday, arrived at Timaru yesterday afternoon. She is due at Dunedin on Wednesday to discharge cargo. The Atua, which is bringing fruit transhipments ex the Tofua from Tonga and Fiji, amongst other goods, is expected to leave Auckland to-night for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The small steamer Tecs sailed from Lyttelton on Thursday night for tho Chatham Islands. She took 09 tons of cargo and the following passengers;—Misses Johansen Raymond, Paynter, Windon, Mcsclames Blythe, Sullivan, Messrs Blythe, Haugh, Tu Uta, Langdale-Hunt, Clark, Dix, Sharp, Langbein. The Tees will load wool at the Cha*' hams for Lyttelton. The Wairuna arrived at Fanning Island from Auckland late on .Saturday week, and left again on Sunday afternoon for Vancouver. The Sussex will load at Calcutta and Eastern ports in December for New Zealand. The schooner Mepu left Sydney last week for Grafton, there to load hardwood for Auckland. , The Nanetic, of Andrew Weir and Co.'s line, has been chartered by the Yamashita Company to load in Australian ports for Japan. She has a carrying capacity of 8300 tons. Tho Bolivia, of 10,470 tons capacity, has also been chartered by the same company to load for Japan. The Hain sDamer Errolß to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company, is due at Auckland on November 13 from Montreal. She left Panama on October 16. After discharge at Auckland tho steamer will proceed to Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. The Hain steamer Tregenna, sailing to tho agency of the A. and A. Line, is due at Auckland to-day from New York. She.will sail later in the week for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, and Wanganui roadstead to complete discharge. PASSENGERS BY PORT NAPIER. The C. and D. steamer Port Napier, which Bailed from Wellington on Wednesday for Gisborne and Auckland to complete _ loading lor London, has on board the following passengers for England;—Mesdames T. Derrick, MTlraith, Mr A. T. Bennett. Dr Derrick, of Thames, will proceed bj- the vessel as chip’s surgeon. The Port Rapier is to leave Auckland next Wednesday for London, via Las Palmas. STEAMER IN HEAVY WEATHER. When crossing the Indian Ocean the eteamer Gharinda encountered violent conditions. Several of the ship’s crew were injured. The ship’s lighting system was put out of commission, and portion of the poopdeck was carried away. There was also elight damage to the steering gear, which was repaired without mishap.
