There has been little to complain of in the weather during the past few days, and yesterday —the first clay of summer —was ushered in with perfectly appropriate weather, which proved a decided encouragement for the donning of seasonable clothing. Towards the evening, however, conditions began to change, and the sky assumed a gloomy appearance, with a promise of something to follow. HILLGROVE' November 1. Tile rainfall registered at Trotter’s Creek, Ilillgrove, for the month ended October 31 was 1.77 m. The total for the year to late is 23.19 in. There is a remarkable growth of grass in this district at th G present, time.
