Zeekoe, a gigantic hippopotamus, the largest in captivity in America, has lust died at Cincinnati as the result of swallowing a tennis ball thrown by a visitor into its cage. A number of pennies was also found in its stomach. A 29-storey hotel building, which it is said, will be the tallest structure of its kind in the world, is to bo erected at Detroit. U.S.A. It will cost nearly £3,000,000. It is to have 1215 rooms. It will bo Italian Renaissance in type, and built of stone and brick.
