Advices from Luxor stats that Mr Howard Carter’s gangs of men and boys have resumed preliminary operations preparatory to continuing the exploratory work at Tutankhamen’s tomb. The tivst real work will be the removal of 1700 tons of earth which is heaped above the tomb. It is expected that the explorers -will be in a position to re-enter the tomb •about November 2.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
