SALES OF WORK.

CA YERSHAM METHODIST CHURCH. A bazaar in aid of the Caversham Methodist Church flood relief fund was opened by Mr T. K. Sidey, M.P., in the church hall last night, when, in spite of the heavy rain, there was a largo attendance. Mr Sidey expressed his sympathy with the church in the damage to its property by the recent floods, and honed that the proceeds from the bazaar would 'meet with the s fullest expectations. The hall was decorated with flowers and nmny-hued balloons, the ladies being responsible' for this work. The following were in charge of the various stalls: Ladies’ Guild.—Mrs Turner. Flowers.—Mrs J. Weir. Fancy Work.— Miss J. Coatsworth. Children’s.—Mrs Brough. Cakes. —Mrs Lee and Mrs Jenkins. Sweets.—Mrs M’Fadgon. Abbotsford Ladies’ Guild. —Members of the guild. Tearooms.—Mrs Wt Wyllie. Christmas Tree.—Misses Mew and DavidSoft Drinks and Ices. —Mr T. Todd and members of the Young Men’s Bible Class. MAORI HILL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. The Kov. J. H. Jupp opened the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church’s sale of work in the Coronation Hall yesterday afternoon. The proceeds will be handed to the church debt extinction fund, and judging by the attendance the fund should benefit to a considerable extent. There were also one or two side-shows under the control of members of the Young Men's Bible Class. The following were the stall-holders: Cake Stall.—Mcsdames "Watson, Wright and Gray. Produce Stall.—Mesdames Whyte, Kirkland, and Clark. Kitchen Stall. —Mrs Forbes. Baby Stall.—Mrs Burrell. Work Stall. —Mesdames Knox, Morrison, and Belt. Flower Stall.—Mrs Munro and Miss Brown. Sweet Stall. —Mesdames M'Oarthy and Leslie. Wakari Stall—Mesdames Tweedie, Murray, and Bain, and Mr C. Tweedie. Bran Tub and Christmas Tree.—Busy Bees. Tearooms. —Mesdames Ferguson and Killin and Misses Craig and Shrimpton.
