ARBITRATION COURT.

iwwmx SITTINGS. <■ Before Mr Justice Frazer (president), and Messrs W. .Send and If. ITinner (assessors). A silling of the Arbitration Court was commenced in Dunedin yesterday. FRFEZIXG WORKERS' DISPUTE. It. was decided to fix to-day {Wednesday; for the hearing of the freezing workers’ dispute. FIRE BRIGADES’ DISPUTE. Mr .1, T. Hainan (secretary of the Dunedin Fire Board) appeared for the employers, and Mr L. F. Evans for the firemen in tile Fire Brigades’ dispute. Mr Evans said a complete agreement had been arrived at, and both parlies wished that the agreement be embodied, in. an award. ITis Honor said the court would peruse the documents and if in order an award on the linos agreed upon would be made. RETAIL CHEMISTS. Mr L. F. Evans appeared for the workers in the retail chemists’ dispute and asked that (he complete agreement arrived at he made into an award. His Honor said he noticed that the Otago Hospital Board had been left out from the the list of employers cited. The court would glance through the documents and if in order would make an award on the lines agreed upon OTAGO BOX WORKERS. Mr A. S. Cookson appeared for the employers, and Mr Jesse Ha.ymes for (he employees. Mr Cookson said that since the dispute had been before the Conciliation Council another conference had been held between the union and the employers, and the former had agreed to waive the annual holiday clause in consideration of an increase in wages. His Honor said an award would be made on (he linos indicated. THEATRICAL AND OTHER EMPLOYEES. Air A. S. Cookson appeared for the employers. and Mr R. Slater for the union. Air Slater said that- the only point to be settled was the. term of the award, and (he union .Applied, for one year instead of two. Air Cookson said he did not know anything about the application, and would like lime to consult the employers. It was decided to set the hearing of the dispute clown for Friday. GAAIARU GROCERS’ AWARD. This was an application to amend the award, and Mr Cookson, who appeared for the employers, said he had only been asked on Saturday to represent the employers, and ho would like time to confer with them. Air R. IT. Watson, who appeared for the union, agreed to this, and tho hearing of the dispute was fixed for Friday at 10 a.m.
