(Received Oct. 23, at 8.20 p.m.) George Billait, alias Slavich, alias Milan, was sentenced to three years' imprisonment on each of three charges cl receiving stolen property the proceeds of burglaries. Tin; sentences are to bo concurrent. Record: produced in court showed that he hat served lengthy sentences in Wellington, Dunedin; and Christchurch for burglaries and other offences and had been declared a habitual criminal by the dominion authorities.
