The Kawatiro, which arrived at Port Chalmers early on Sunday morning from Oamaru, will go into dry dock to-day for periodical survey. The Bluff tug Theresa Ward is due at Port Chalmers to-morrow for periodical docking. . The Kini, from Greymouth, via Lyttelton, JB here_ this morning, and is to sail tonight for Napier and Gisborne, via ports. The Whangape, from Newcastle and Sydney, via Oamaru, is due here to-morrow morning, and is to sail on Friday for Bluff and Sydney. The Kini, from Greymouth, via Lyttelton, is due here to-day, and is to sail to-morrow -for Timaru, Westport, and Greymouth. The Flora, from Portland, via Lyttelton and Bluff, is due here on Sunday, and is to sail on Monday for Timaru, Wellington, and Auckland. The Kaiapoi was expected to leave Auckland yesterday for Hokianga, Adelaide, Edithburg, Melbourne, Hobart, Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland, The Katoa, which is at present en route from Wellington, will load at Newcastle for Auckland. The Kaimanawa ia scheduled to leave Newcastle to-day with coal for Dunedin. On completing discharge ehe will dock at Port Chalmers for survey. The Waihora, from 'Wellington, is due at Melbourne to-morrow. After landing her cargo of live stock she will call at Newcastle to load for Wellington. The Waitomo is to leave Newcastle about to-day with coal for Lyttelton. The Waikouaiti, from Sydney direct, is at present discharging transhipments at the cross wharf ex the following vessels: —Marella, City of Genoa, Eastern, Houtman, Gogra. On October 18 the Osaka Shosen Kaisha purchased the steamer Paysdewaes, formerly the Indarra. THE CANADIAN CONSTRUCTOR. The Canadian Government Line steamer Canadian Constructor is to leave Auckland to-day for New York, Boston, and Halifax THE TAINUI. The Shaw, Savill. and Albion Company» liner Tainui, from Port Chalmers, via Bluff and Timaru, is due back at Wellington next Saturday, and will leave there at daybreak on November 3 for Southampton and London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. ARMAGH LEAVES COLON. A cable message to the New Zealand Shipping Company announces that tho Armagh arrived at Panama on the morning of October 16 from Auckland, and left Colon on the afternoon of that date for New York and London. The vessel sailed from Auckland on September 27. THE LING NAM. The Huddart-Parker Company has received advice that the Ling Nam, from Sydney, is due at Wellington to-day, or to-morrow, and will later proceed to South American ports. WAIFORI FROM NEWCASTLE. The Union Company's collier Waipori arrived at Wellington last week from Newcastle, via Picton, to discharge some 2600 tons of coal. The vessel sailed from Newcastle on October 11, and experienced an uneventful trip until entering Cook Strait. Then, strong south-easterly gales and heavy seas were encountered, and. the vessel put into Picton on Wednesday afternoon for shelter. Captain A. Reed is in command of the Waipori. After completing discharge at Wellington the vessel will undergo periodical survey. PORT SYDNEY AT LONDON. Cable news has been received by the C. and D. Line that the Port Sydney arrived at London on October 17 from Wellington. The vessel sailed, from Wellington on September 6. and occupied only 41 days on the passage, calling at Las Palmas en route. beacon erected. Notice is given that a black-painted iron beacon, staff, and cage, height 24ft., on a concrete base, the top of which is awash at high water, has been erected on a rock at the western end of what is locally known as Maloney’s Reef, situated between Brown’s Bay and Gull Point, north-westward of Raneitoto Channel, at the entrance to Auckland Harbour. Tho beacon marks the eastern side of the inshore channel between Gull Point to the northward and Brown’s Bay to the southward. NOBEL EXPLOSIVE VESSELS. The Nobel Explosive Company’s auxiliary schooner Huia, which sailed from Auckland for Portland on Wednesday, will visit various ports on the coast, and will then load grain at Dunedin for Auckland. She is due back at Auckland about the middle of next month. The company's ketch Rira, whiah arrived at Sydney from Awanni on Wednesday is to go to Grafton. New South Wales, to load hardwood for Plymouth.

CARGO FROM CALIFORNIA. Tho Swnyne and Hoyt Line steamer West Nikis is now loading at Pacific Coast ports ifnr Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton, and Melbourne. She is scheduled to leave San Francisco for Auckland on October 31. THE KARAMEA. Tho Shaw, Savill, and Albion Line steamer Earnmea, from Liverpool, which arrived at Auckland early on Wednesday morning, brought about 2500 tons of general cargo for Auckland. The Karamea, which loaded first at Glasgow and then Southampton, left the latter port on September 1 and came here via the Panama Canal. A good voyage was experienced all the way out. Captain D. Christie is in command. She is to leave Auckland to-day for Wellington, and is duo there on Saturday to continue discharge. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. The following steamers were expected to he within range of the under-mentioned wireless stations last. night:—Auckland: Canadian Seigneur. Eastern Sea, Kaiapoi, Kaikorai, Kaiwarra, Kauri, Kurow, Manuka, Nardana, Niagara. Port Stephens, Hem.uera, and Waitemaia. Wellington: Maori, Mararoa, Ngaio, City of Birmingham, Ling Nani, lonic, Katoa, Moeraki, Pert Napier, Kazembe, Waimarino, and Wingatui. Chatham Islands; Nardana. TRANS-PACIFIC SERVICE. The following arc the latest movements of vessels in the Union Company’s trans-Pacilic cargo service:— Hauraki, from Pacific Coast ports, via San Francisco, is due at Auckland about Sunday next. She will proceed thence to Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. Waiotapu left San Francisco on Tuesday, October 16 for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney.— She is due at Auckland on November 9. Wainma, from Sydney and Ncwcßstle, via Auckland, left Auckland an October 17 for Fanning Island and Vancouver. She will load at Pacific Coast ports during November for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney. Waihemo, from. Pacific Coast ports, via Port Angeles, British Columbia, ia due at Apia about October 22. She will proceed to Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, and New Plymouth. PAKEIIA FROM HOME. The S.S. and A. Line steamer Pakcha, from Middlesborough, London, and Falmouth, via Panama and Auckland, berthed at Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon. While completing her loading in London this steamer was delayed about six weeks by tho dockers' strike. Tho voyage was uneventful Thirteen animals for the local zoo were landed at Auckland. The Pakeka is to come up to Dunedin this morning, and after discharging 1000 tons of cargo will proceed to Newcastle to bunker prior to loading at other Australian porta. MANAMA’S PASSENGERS.
